  • truTV announced they’ve greenlit the new series Bobcat Goldthwait’s Messed Up Stories (8 ep.). Each episode will tell a different story in a different genre – including 1970s-era science fiction, psychological thriller, romantic comedy and reality – and will parody pop culture norms and exploit the awkwardness of its flawed characters.
  • Pop announced they’ve ordered a new scripted series called The Joey Mac ProjectThe comedy will follow a fictionalized McIntyre as he tries to transition into a serious acting career.
  • The Guest Book: TBS greenlights comedy series.The Guest Book, an anthology comedy series that will revolve around a vacation rental house and the various people who stay there.
  • Starz announced they are developing a new series titled Pussy ValleySet in an infamous Mississippi “shake junt” called the Pink Pony, “Pussy Valley” is an intimate window to the unexplored southern strip club world, where the desires of pro-ballers and politicians collide with the dreams of five brave women. For these women, the line between performance and reality becomes blurred, as the drama of their outside lives threaten their onstage personas. On the quest for money, power, and respect, each woman must make a choice. For some it’s a step down, for others a step up, as the Pink Pony stage constantly shape-shifts between a platform for freedom and a gilded cage. In this world of smoke and mirrors, who will fall and who will fly?
  • Starz has a new superhero. The network announced they are developing a new series titled Tomorrow, TodayA veteran from the south side of Chicago who, after being falsely imprisoned, becomes the personal experiment of a mad prison doctor trying to create the perfect man – and an unstoppable killing machine. Set free, but on the run, the veteran must reconcile with the world that has turned against him, and use his newfound abilities for good.
  • Starz is getting in the telenovela business. The network announced they are developing a new series titled Teresa. An undocumented young Latina clawing her way into the exclusive world of Los Angeles wealth. The series will chronicle her ruthless pursuit of money and power and her willingness to do anything to get them.
  • Starz is developing The Dirty Girls Social Club, based on the Alisa Valdes “Chica Lit” novel of the same name. A dynamic and sexy half-hour series about six diverse professional women living in New York City who have known each other since college. Ten years later, and through professional and personal successes, failures and heartaches, the one thing they can always count on is each other. The series will explore womanhood in all its glory, with both humor and drama, and always with heart.
  • Cinemax has ordered the Micronesian Blues TV show from Banshee‘s Jonathan Tropper and Greg Yaitanes, along with Patrick Dempsey. Based on the true story of Los Angeles cop Bryan Vila, a former Marine who had served in Vietnam, who took a job training local police in Micronesia in the early 1990s, expecting a paid vacation. The series tells the story of a burned out LA cop who accepts a teaching job in Micronesia, only to find himself caught up in a bloody war between tribal gangsters, lawless mercenaries, and crooked CIA agents.
  • Amazon and Sky have given the greenlight to Britannia, starring Kelly Reilly, David Morrissey, and Zoe Wanamaker. Britannia is set in 43AD. The drama features the Roman Imperial Army which, Amazon says is “determined and terrified in equal measure, returns to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a mysterious land ruled by wild warrior women and powerful Druids who can channel the powerful forces of the underworld.”
  • Audience Network announced their new drama series ICE will premiere later this yearThe drama “will focus on the treacherous and colorful world of diamond traders in downtown Los Angeles.”
  • Ten Days In the Valley has been ordered to series at ABC. The 10-episode first season of Ten Days In the Valley follows Jane Sadler, an overworked television producer and single mother in the middle of a fractious separation. When her young daughter goes missing in the middle of the night, Jane’s world — and her controversial police series — implodes. Life imitates art: everything’s a mystery, everyone has a secret, and no one can be trusted.
  • HBO announced they’ve ordered Room 104. The comedy series will explore the stories of the different people who pass through one specific room of an average American hotel. Set in a single room of an average American hotel, ROOM 104 tells a different story of the assorted characters who pass through it in each episode.
  • Disney Channel has ordered Andi Mack. The serie centers around Andi as she’s about to celebrate her 13th birthday. However, when her capricious older sister Bex returns home with the hope of getting her life together, Andi’s life is turned upside down and she is left questioning everything she’s ever known.

  • TNT orders Monsters of God pilot. In Monsters of God, savagery and violence are the cornerstones of Colonel “Terrible” Bill Lancaster’s holy war against the Comanche in post-Civil War Texas. Despite the peaceful co-existence between the Comanche and local townspeople, Lancaster sets out on a quest to kill off every single member of the tribe, bringing wild chaos to the town of Slater. Meanwhile, his wife, Cynthia Lancaster, will let no one get in the way of her obsessive quest to institute her wildly feminist ideals, even if she has to challenge the United States Army and make her own allegiance with the Comanche women. Whether by force or free will, change is coming to Texas, and the escalating insanity will reveal humanity at its most monstrous.
  • TBS announced they’ve ordered a new pilot titled World’s EndThe serie follows Henry Mueller, a charismatic high school English teacher who has a breakdown and is committed to a mental institution. There, under the watchful eye of Louise Baldwin, he begins to feel “sane.” Henry starts to question the system and the methods used to contain the inmates, ultimately becoming the leader of an inmate revolt. It’s a dark comedy about an asylum that operates like a family, and as in all families, the question of who is sane and who is not is open for discussion.
  • Dragon Teeth: National Geographic orders script based on Michael Crichton manuscript. The notorious rivalry between real-life paleontologists Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh during a time of intense fossil speculation and discovery. The story unfolds through the adventures of a young fictional character named William Johnson who is apprenticed first to one, then to the other, and not only makes discoveries of historical proportion, but transforms into an inspiring hero only Crichton could have imagined.
