BBC has ordered a TV series adaptation of the novel The MiniaturistWritten by Jessie Burton, the historical drama is set in the 17th century and “tells the tale of a house where, beneath lavish beauty and privilege, lie forbidden passions and dangerous secrets.” The novel is expected to premiere sometime in 2017.

BBC Two ordered a new series called MotherFatherSonThe eight-part drama “examines how even the mightiest of empires can be imperiled when it turns on itself.”

Netflix has ordered Untitled Horse Mystery project, a coming-of-age story about an American teenager, Zoe, and her summer of intrigue in the English countryside. During her stay at Bright Field Stables, 15-year-old Zoe’s life changes forever when she meets the mysterious horse Raven, whose friendship gives Zoe the strength to deal with issues and explore new relationships. Faced with personal and physical challenges at every turn, Zoe’s inspirational journey will show audiences that life is all about failing – and learning to pick yourself up again.

Netflix has ordered The Worst Witch (2017)Magical mayhem meets routine school life in The Worst Witch, a new series based on the books by acclaimed English author Jill Murphy. The show follows the ever-clumsy Mildred Hubble and her adventures as a student at Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches. Complete with broomsticks, potions and spells, The Worst Witch will resonate with every child who’s ever dreamed of learning magic – and anyone who’s just getting comfortable with being themselves.

TNT has ordered the Let the Right One pilot. The Vermont-set teen vampire drama is based on John Ajvide Lindqvist’s 2004 novel of the same name. Let the Right One In is an eerie drama about a young boy, long tormented by his classmates, who finds solace in a friendship with a charismatic female vampire who appears to be near his age. The vampire settles into the boy’s small Vermont town with her mysterious caretaker, just as a series of bizarre murders begins attracting the attention of law enforcement.

Disney Channel has ordered a new pilot called Forever Boys. The comedy “follows three brothers who were turned into vampires in 1957.”

Cinemax has ordered the Warrior pilot. The martial arts drama is based on original material from the late, great Bruce Lee. “Warrior tells the story of a young martial arts prodigy, newly arrived from China, who finds himself caught up in the bloody Chinatown Tong wars.”

CBS has picked up a new pilot called FirewallIn Firewall, in the wake of personal tragedy, a charming but ruthless San Francisco billionaire decides to use his wealth for good, putting together a team of various experts to exact justice on criminals who’ve slipped through the cracks of the legal system.

ABC has picked up a new pilot called Splitting Up TogetherBased on a Danish TV series, tells “the story of a couple whose marriage is reignited by their divorce.”

NBC has ordered a new pilot called Family HonorFamily Honor is an ensemble police procedural explored through the eyes of four diverse foster sisters who fall on both sides of the law. The project is personal to Carroll who adopted her youngest son through the foster system and continues to be actively involved with the Foster Care system in Los Angeles.

CBS is developing an adaptation of the UK sitcom Friday Night DinnerThe original Channel 4 series follows the antics that occur during a family’s weekly Friday night dinner.

CBS has committed to a pilot for the single camera comedy, Me, Myself and I. The comedy will follow a man’s life during a 50-year time span.Me, Myself & I examines one man’s life over a 50-year span, somewhat in the vein of Boyhood. The show will focus on three distinct periods in his life – as a 14-year-old in 1991, a 39-year-old in present day, and a 64-year-old in 2041.
